About NZBI

NZBI (New Zealand Biosecurity Institute) are an incorporated society with membership open to anyone interested in biosecurity issues. We organise activities on a local and national basis and produce Protect, a quarterly magazine.

Our Mission Statement

"Working together to ensure New Zealand is protected from the adverse impacts of invasive species."

Our aims are to

* Raise awareness of the Institute and biosecurity issues;
* Encourage the development and application of best practice in biosecurity;
* Connect people and organisations to share knowledge; and
* Create opportunities for professional development of members.

Auckland NZBI

The Auckland branch of the NZBI on one of the many field trips that are organised to highlight particular Biosecurity issues in the region. Other regional branches also organise local events. Come along and join us. For futher information go to the contacts page and contact your local branch.
